West Side neighbors organize to demand funding for crumbling Robert Street viaduct
Last week, the MN Department of Transportation submitted a grant request to the federal government for funding to repair and revitalize Robert Street, in particular the Robert Street viaduct. Members of WSCO’s Land Use Action Circle (LUAC) reached out to Senator Tina Smith, Representative Maria Isa Perez Vega, and Congresswoman Betty McCollum to highlight the importance of this investment in our neighborhood– and every one of them sent in a letter of support for this funding to the US Department of Transportation. We will be watching closely to see if funding is approved, and keep our community informed and engaged in the next steps.

Shout out to West Siders Nan, Bob, Santiago, Hokan, Myisha, and Joy for your impactful work in this action circle!
