Interested in getting involved in the community? Don't know where to start? Join us at the West Side Voices monthly forum!
Get involved and learn about happenings on the West Side. Be a part of building and carrying out solutions to benefit our neighborhood. No previous experience or requirements needed, your lived expertise of your neighborhood is more than enough. Everyone's input is requested and welcome for discussions!
Next Meeting
The Voices Forum generally happens once a month on the second Tuesday, from 6:00PM-8:00PM. In the Winter, it is held online via Zoom. In the Spring and Summer, we return to in person Voices meetings, often held outside (bring a folding chair or blanket!).
Visit our Events Page to check out upcoming West Side Voices Forums, and RSVP!
Voices FAQ
Is Voices held in person or virtually?
From 2020 through April 2021, the monthly Voices forum was held virtually. Starting May 2021, we will hold the Voices forum in person. Health and safety precautions apply, including social distancing, meeting outside, wearing a mask, hand hygiene, and disinfecting shared surfaces like tables.
How can I become a voting member of Voices?
Voices is open to all West Siders, but only voting members can vote on decisionmaking items. You can become a voting member of Voices if you are at least 16 years old, you live on the West Side, and attend three consecutive meetings.
How are decisions made?
We use a consensus voting method called Fist to Five - learn more here.
