Recently, we shared a development proposal we received for new apartments at 102 & 150 Water Street. West Side neighbors at the March Voices forum spoke and made clear that affordability is key to keeping our neighborhood a place that is welcoming to all, and preventing displacement and gentrification. To that end, our Equitable Development Scorecard Team has been hard at work in meetings with the developer to push for more affordable units in this building. We are proud to share that we have been successful in winning twice as many affordable units, at a much more affordable rent, AND a commitment to keep them that way for 20 years.
