GROW with us, West Side!
Growing Resilience on the West Side (GROWS) is a coalition between organizations and individuals on the West Side that are working on food justice. Access to healthy food is not equally distributed in our neighborhood or city, and removing some of those barriers by growing food locally also results in increased community connection and resilience in the face of climate change.
One of our current communal efforts is a free food garden at the top of the Smith Avenue Bridge– check out this reflection from neighbor Paul Pfeiffer.
Coming up: community meals, wisdom-sharing sessions, and a Fall Harvest Festival. Stay tuned!
