LINE UP WILL OCCUR ON HUMBOLDT AVENUE BETWEEN ELIZABETH STREET & TACO HOUSE
CHECK-IN INFORMATION: FOR REGISTERED VEHICLES
All vehicles for the parade including: floats, cars, trucks, oversized vehicles and any motorized vehicle must check-in at the corner of Humboldt Ave. and Elizabeth St. NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER HUMBOLDT AVE WITHOUT CHECKING IN AT THE DESIGNATED AREA. All vehicles registered for the parade will receive a permit to have their vehicle travel on Humboldt Avenue. Please contact [email protected], with questions about vehicles prior to the event.
Floats and Vehicles check in between 7AM & 8:30AM @ Elizabeth & Humboldt Avenue.
CHECK-IN INFORMATION: FOR WALKING UNITS & WALKERS
Parking: It is highly encouraged that people carpool, as there will be limited parking on side streets neighboring Humboldt Avenue and beyond. All participants will be responsible for returning to their vehicle after the conclusion of the parade.
There will be a block captain that will assist units checking in, with lining up in their designated area. Please stay within your designated area. See a block captain for assistance. Please keep in mind that there will be between 6 & 15 units on each block and they will be assisting with each unit. Block Captains will be wearing an ORANGE VOLUNTEER t-shirt. Each volunteer will be equipped with maps, line-up info and a radio to contact parade coordinator if needed.
Block captains will be stationed at the following intersections, with traffic control management:
Elizabeth & Humboldt (Units 68-75)
King & Humboldt (Units 60-67)
Stevens & Humboldt (Units 46-59)
George & Humboldt (Units 39-45)
Robie & Humboldt (Units 24.5-38)
Winifred & Humboldt (Units 16-24)
Congress & Humboldt (Units 7-15)
Isabell & Humboldt (Units 1-6)
Walking units and walkers joining units with vehicles are expected to be checked in from 8AM-9AM.
There will be no unauthorized vehicles allowed to travel on Humboldt Avenue.
GENERAL LINE-UP INFORMATION:
All units will have a space to line up. Unit numbers will be painted on the street (with chalk) which will be your designated area to line up. Units will line up on both sides of the street, and we must keep the middle of the street open for emergency vehicles and traffic for units in the parade, making their way to their line-up area. Please assist in keeping your participants as close to the curb as possible. Parade will begin promptly at 10AM.
PARADE REMINDERS:
Novelty Distribution – Must be HANDED out, NOT THROWN
All items must be HANDED and NOT THROWN. This is to ensure the safety of those watching the parade.
