Join us for Earth Day on April 22nd, 2023!

We'll meet to distribute bags and gloves at 9:45am at 88 Cesar Chavez.  Block Leaders can go back to their blocks to pick up trash with their neighbors, or feel free to stay and pick up trash with us around 88 Cesar Chavez!

At 11am, the Celebration begins. The theme is the West Side sharing our healing practices related to plants, seeds, and the Earth. We will learn about medicinal plants used by many cultures, learn how to save seeds and plant them in our neighborhood, and how to cook, share, and heal through plant-based foods. Come inside the Community Room at 88 to hear from neighborhood elders, healers, and plant-lovers! Many resources, recipes, foods, and activities will be available for all ages.  Please bring a food you find to be healing for our Community Potluck!
