To organize for a just and joyful West Side today, we must also learn about and understand the lessons from our past. The West Side Community Organization (WSCO) and Research in Action (RIA) have been working in partnership over the past year to listen to the lived experiences of West Siders who were displaced from their homes when the West Side Flats neighborhood was demolished to build the Riverview Industrial Park in the 1960s.

This July, we're publishing our extensive report on the history and impact of that displacement, current displacement threats due to gentrification, and community recommendations for repair and redress.

Come hear from the research team, read the report, and take action to demand justice for the West Side.
