Save the date! Saturday, September 10th from 10:30am - 1:30pm at Pickerel Lake in Lilydale Park. This is a free, family-friendly event open to all.
We are gathering in Lilydale Park– a place with a long history of police violence against Black, Indigenous, and People of Color on the West Side – to spend time outdoors in community and reclaim a space that has been used for harm through joy and recreation.
This year we'll have a variety of stations throughout the park for you to visit! Learn fishing, birding, kayaking, Indigenous yoga, or jump into a skillshare on how to tie knots and hang a hammock. Take a medicinal plants walk, or a hike through the woods. Learn to Double Dutch or hula hoop, have your chakras aligned and learn to meditate, or join us painting a canoe!
Directions: Meet in the parking lot near the boat launch; if using a map, direct to around 561 Lilydale Rd.
