Ramsey County Environmental Health is seeking community engagement in the planning process for the county’s waste management plan. This is a wonderful opportunity to provide feedback and ideas on how trash and recycling e is managed in Ramsey County. This important topic supports healthy people, a healthy economy and a healthy environment. The plan includes topics such as:

Waste reduction and reuse

Recycling and trash
-
Food waste reduction and food scraps recycling

The intersection between climate and waste management
-
Equity and environmental justice
The application deadline is December 1, which is a quick turnaround.
Community members needing assistance with filling out the application, can reach out to Nawl Ahmed at 651-266-1127 or [email protected] Committee members selected will participate in 4 meetings in the Spring of 2024, and be compensated with a $25 gift card and a full meal for their time and ideas. Meeting length will be approximately two hours each starting around 5-5:30 p.m.
