Our partners at Minnesota Voices are helping connect voters with rides to the polls.
As a Minnesota voter:
↳ You have the right to vote if you are in line by 8:00 PM.
↳ You can register at your polling place on Election Day with the required proof of residence.
↳ You have the right to take time off work to vote without losing your pay, personal leave, or vacation time.
↳ If you make a mistake before casting your ballot, you can request a replacement ballot.
↳ You have the right to vote without anyone at the polling place trying to influence your vote.
↳ You may bring a sample ballot with you into the voting booth.
↳ You have the right to ask for assistance while voting.
Most polling places are open 7:00 AM–8:00 PM. If you are in line by 8:00 PM, stay in line—you still have the right to vote.
If you encounter a problem or aren't sure what to do, ask for help rather than walking away without voting. Ask an election judge at your polling place for assistance or call 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683).
If you experience or witness voter intimidation, interference, misinformation, accessibility issues, unusually long lines, equipment problems, or another issue at a polling location, don't try to handle or escalate the situation yourself.

Use B.A.L.L.O.T. to help document what you are seeing:
B — Barrier: What is the problem or barrier affecting the voter?
A — Actors: Who is involved? How many people are involved?
L — Location: What specific precinct or polling location is this happening at?
L — Log: Gather contact information for people impacted, when appropriate and with their permission.
O — Outcome: What happened? Was the situation resolved? Is support still needed?
T — Time: When did the situation begin and end?

The West Side Election Protection Project is a hyper-local, community-led effort focused on protecting voting rights and strengthening access to the ballot within the West Side neighborhood.
We believe protecting democracy starts in our own neighborhood.
Throughout the election season, we educate, prepare, and organize residents so that every eligible voter has access to trusted information, understands their rights, and can exercise their right to vote safely and confidently.
The project brings together two WSCO community campaigns: West Side 100, our neighborhood civic engagement program, and The Hummingbird Initiative, our community rapid response program.
