This training is your opportunity to become a Democracy Navigator — a trained community member who helps their neighbors understand and navigate the voting process, recognize potential barriers to voting, access trusted information and resources, and knows where to turn when additional support is needed.

During the training, you will learn:

🗳️ Voting Rights — Understand voters' rights and important protections throughout the voting process.

🧭 How to Navigate the Voting Process — Learn how to connect neighbors with accurate information about registration, polling locations, voting options, and trusted election resources.

👀 Recognizing Voter Intimidation — Learn how to identify potential intimidation, obstruction, or other barriers that could interfere with someone's ability to vote.

📱 Misinformation & Disinformation — Understand common election misinformation and disinformation tactics and how to respond with trusted, accurate information.

📝 Observe, Document & Report — Learn how to recognize and document concerns without escalating a situation and how to connect those concerns to the appropriate Election Protection resources.

🤝 Community Support & Rapid Response — Understand how our neighborhood can organize before, during, and after Election Day to support voters who experience barriers.

🏘️ Hyper-Local Election Protection — Learn how Democracy Navigators can work together across the West Side to create a trusted neighborhood network of voter support.
