We did it! Rent stabilization is on the ballot!

On June 15, 2021, Housing Equity Now St. Paul (HENS) took a major step toward making housing history. With the help of many dedicated West Side volunteers WSCO, in collaborative partnership with HENS worked hard to gather over 9,000 signatures. That means rent stabilization will be on the November ballot, and we are launching into the campaign to get out the vote! Save the date for our campaign kickoff event, August 26th from 6:00 - 8:00PM at Lake Monster Brewing. 

In the midst of these big wins, we recognize that our work isn’t over. St. Paul renters continue to face daunting challenges, from the repeal of SAFE Tenant Protections, to the phasing out of the eviction moratorium.
