Over 2,000 West Siders were displaced from their homes when the West Side Flats neighborhood was demolished to build the Riverview Industrial Park in the 1960s.
We've partnered with Research in Action over the past year to listen to the lived experiences of those West Siders, their descendants, and other community members.
This July, we're publishing an extensive report on the history and impact of that displacement, current displacement threats due to gentrification, and community recommendations for repair and redress.
