West Side Youth Explore Land Use through Virtual Reality

Proposed WSCO Bylaws to be Voted on at Annual Meeting
A revised version of the WSCO bylaws will be voted on at the Annual Meeting on December 8th. Please familiarize yourself with the changes before the meeting if you are able.
WSCO Annual Meeting December 8th
The Annual Meeting is on!! December 8th at the El Rio Vista Gymnasium. Food will be served at 6:00pm, with proceedings beginning at 6:30pm. There will be board elections as well as a vote to approve a set of revised WSCO bylaws (please review them HERE).
West Side: Action to Equity this September!
Over the next five years, the West Side will see millions of dollars in private development and public investment projects. Nearly a thousand new housing units are planned. Thousands of square feet of new commercial space. New streets and trails. New parks and playgrounds. After decades of disinvestment and neglect, many West Siders are hopeful about this new chapter. And yet, the threat of gentrification looms large.
Community Meetings Set for High Bridge Work
MnDOT has planned two community meetings this August to discuss impacts and mitigation around the High Bridge, Smith Ave. & Highway 149 construction.

WSCO wants to thank you for coming out and marching with us and TakeAction MN on Saturday. It was POWERFUL seeing all of you out in the streets marching, standing, and supporting out our immigrant and refugee community as well as elevating issues of racial, social, and economic injustices seen and experienced on the West Side. Your love and commitment to your community is inspirational and this march through the West Side demonstrated the power that this community carries.
